There’s never a quick trip to the grocery store for Sarah Petty. You see, she’s in heaven in a place with so many products. She’ll pick up a box of cereal to examine the packaging and dissect the store window displays all while strategizing what works and what doesn’t. For Sarah, marketing really is a joy. She simply can’t get enough.

Even though she has won plenty of awards for her photography, it's not photography technique that has made her business successful. Sarah believes it takes more than technical expertise to win in business. And old school marketing? Forgeddaboutit! The knowledge Sarah shares through The Joy of Marketing and to audiences worldwide has helped thousands of boutique business owners grow their small businesses beyond their wildest dreams.

Sarah is a highly-acclaimed speaker, author, MBA and coach who has inspired thousands of boutique business owners to use beautiful marketing to take their business to the next level. Her expertise is based on over 20 years helping build the Coca-Cola brand, meeting the marketing goals of a top regional advertising agency's clients and building her own successful  boutique photography studio. This studio was named one of the most profitable in the country within just five years in business. Superpowers: Can reach anything on the top shelf (a benefit of being 6 feet tall)

Little Known Facts: played Division I college volleyball for Memphis State (now University of Memphis), can't beat her 9 year old son at Connect Four, favorite color is bright orange, only wants to write with an extra-fine point roller ball pen (problem is they explode on airplanes)

Likes: reading business books, the color orange, peace earrings, designing spaces to reflect the person who lives or works there, Diet Coke

Meet Erin Verbeck  |  Branding and Small Business Marketing Expert

 

If you see the red and blue flashing lights in your rear-view mirror don't panic. It's just Erin Verbeck, our Chief Joy Officer and resident brand police. She’s passionate about brands maintaining consistency in their identity and isn’t afraid to give them a brand sobriety test. With a MBA from one of the top business schools in the country and 10 years combined experience at Sabre Holdings, the parent of Travelocity as well as a top regional advertising agency, Erin has the chops to weigh in on all things marketing.

Superpowers: Give me a to do list and I'll destroy it. I can prioritize like no other because I hate not getting things done.

Little Known Facts: Ran Division I track and field / cross country at Western Illinois University and coached the TCU Flyin' Frogs while earning my MBA. Kate Lagemann, our customer care manager, is my sister.

Likes: gummy sweet tarts, Sno caps, SUN, beaches, comfy sweats, running, reading

Dislikes: messes, dirty hands, fast food, cold weather, historical fiction

Meet Andria Crawford-Whitehead  | Photographer / Production Manager

Thing I love most about what I do:  The moment when someone I've photographed comes in and loves their images...all their previous fears and self consciousness disappears.

My Kryptonite:  Fabulous Italian food, spoiling my best friends babies, technological anything

Little Known Facts:  Wants to be a 007 Bond girl, loves playing pinball, Harry Potter nerd

Superpowers:  Can make anyone look 20 pounds lighter in just seconds (thanks Photoshop!), party planning, recycling



Meet Betsy Holt  |  Creative Mastermind

Superpowers: Can bend Adobe Illustrator to suit her will and can exert mind control over any blank canvas to create magnificent designs on 4 hours of sleep or less (and can still manage to keep her Marine husbands appetite at bay).

Little Known Facts: I'm a perfectionist at heart, dreams of being a professional snowboarder

Likes: Cowboy boots, anything turquoise, my beautiful puppy - Pearl, owls, the GREAT state of T-E-X-A-S!!!!!

Dislikes: toe socks, comic sans, the Yankees

Thing I love most about what I do: I get to be creative and just do what I love to do. (I also love working from home!)

My Kryptonite: Fletchers Texas state fair corn dogs, beautiful typography, Midcentury-Modern furniture

Meet Kate Lagemann  |  Customer Care Manager

Superpowers: Can teach almost any child to read! And I can make anyone sound good after a little editing.

Little Known Facts:  I really enjoy starting projects, I just don't like to finish them. I can go months without wearing the same outfit. I love beating my sister Erin at tennis.

Likes: pink, penguins, The Wizard of Oz, my cat Pre, reading, hunting, shopping

Dislikes: the heat, losing games, pickles, breakfast (especially eggs)

My Kryptonite: Cookie dough, Fresco's tacos, shopping

Meet Becky Mast  |  Marketing Coordinator

Superpowers: Multi-tasking. If life were a circus, I'd be a class act juggler. Oh, and I make a mean lasagna.

Little Known Facts: I love water and any activities to go with, but I am terrified of water where my feet don't touch. I dreamed of being an Herbal Essences hair model.

Likes: Cleaning, pink nail polish, hot sauce, Europe, hand-made jewelry, Nutella.

Dislikes: Wearing shoes, going to the movies, a messy kitchen.
